1. What we collect
To fulfil an order we collect your name, phone number, email address and delivery address, plus any delivery notes you choose to add. We also collect basic analytics about how the site is used (pages viewed, device type) through Google Analytics.
2. Card details
We never see or store your card details. Online payments are handled entirely by PayHere, a licensed Sri Lankan payment gateway. Your card data is entered on PayHere's systems and is never transmitted to or stored by GEMU.
3. Why we use your data
- To process, pack and deliver your order.
- To contact you about that order — confirmation, delivery updates, or a problem.
- To handle returns, refunds and warranty claims.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.
4. Who we share it with
Only with the parties needed to complete your order: our delivery courier (name, address, phone) and PayHere (order reference and amount). We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to anyone, for any purpose.
5. How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as needed for accounting, warranty and tax purposes. You can ask us to delete your personal data at any time, except where we are legally required to keep it.
6. Cookies and local storage
Your cart is stored in your own browser's local storage, not on our servers. We use Google Analytics cookies to measure traffic. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings.
7. Your rights and contact
You may ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@gemu.lk or call +94 70 627 2727 and we will respond within 7 working days.
